Good idea, but it needs more work.

the biggest problem i see is the composition, theres just way too much negative space, and with the character centered in the lower part makes it look empty and not that interesting. The character is supposed to be the center of the illustration, then it needs to be what you focus on. i would suggest cropping out the excess space therefore making you focus on the character.
the color pallete is limited, but theres very little variation; blue on blue seems to work against each other and blend the figure into the background. the ocean has several blues and greens and various other colors that can be experimented with.

need to sharpen your photoshop skills

i can see what you were trying to do, but this looks tacked on. the orange has pixelated edges and need to be smoothed in. Also the orange doesnt look right and need to be grounded into the scene, maybe a drop shadow under it to make it fit into the enviroment
even when i enhance the picture, the text is really hard to read, probably, if the font size were bigger or a color stroke.
all in all, i would suggest experimenting with several tools, this looks like it may have taken you about 5 mins to put together.
if you need any advice, i can recommend some good sites with photoshop tutorials.

It was kinda a last minute thing. Yeah it did take about 5 minutes to put together XD.

I don't even use photoshop it was MS Paint. I'm not too serious when it comes to art, I just thought it would be fun to put on this site. I'm a bit more serious with my audio submissions
